Welcome to the Brain Injury Association of Missouri

A study titled “Caregiver Program Evaluation: Assessing the Perceived Impact of Occupational Therapy Education and Training on Caregivers of Persons with Acquired Brain Injury” is being incorporated into BIA-MO support groups in the St. Louis area beginning July 2017.  The purpose of this study is to identify if topic specific education and training completed by occupational therapist is valuable and helpful to caregivers.  Participation in the study aspect of the support group meeting is volunteer.

Annual Statewide Conference 
October 5, 6 & 7 

The Brain Injury Association of Missouri Annual Statewide Conference is the only conference in Missouri dedicated to current trends in innovative therapeutic strategies, cutting-edge and best practices treatment options, and research specifically relating to brain injury.

This Conference features national and local experts addressing issues of interest to professionals, survivors of brain injury and family members.


Sessions held Thursday and Friday focus on topics of interest to healthcare professionals, rehabilitation specialists, social workers, vocational counselors, physicians, psychologists, mental health professionals, case managers, service coordinators, and others providing care for persons with brain injury.

On Saturday, a special seminar is held for survivors of brain injury and their families.

Brain Injury Association of Missouri Board Meetings

Members of the Brain Injury Association of the Missouri are welcome to attend Board Meetings as a guest.  The meeting dates for 2017 are:

April 08
June 10
September 09
December 09

All meetings are held at Rusk Rehabilitation Center, 315 Business Loop 70W, Columbia, Missouri, 65203 in the Rusk Training Room. The Executive Committee meets at 9:15 am followed by the Board of Directors meeting at 10:30 am.
